HI AIR KOREA has been awarded the contract for two(2) SOx Scrubbers to be installed on 1,000TEU container carriers by Heung-A Shipping Co., Ltd. The contract was signed on 05-June-2019 and 02-July-2019.

This contract ensures that these two(2) vessels in operation can fulfill IMO(International Maritime Organization)’s stricter, global sulfur oxides limits, coming into force on January 1, 2020.

The 1^st delivery of SOx Scrubbers is expected in Aug-2019 and 2^nd one is in Oct-2019 when the two(2) vessels is retrofitted by Yeosu ocean Co., Ltd. in Yeosu.
